what's that they say about the third time?


success at last.  tried the fleur de sel caramels for the third time and, wouldn't you know it, they turned out well.  i think having a properly functioning candy thermometer made a huge difference.

my favorite part of making caramels is when you pour the cream/butter combo into the hot syrup.  the syrup becomes incredibly angry and jumps all over the place.  quite a show.

wearing my old white #10 jersey.  observing the white out even though i'm snug at home.  mmm saw a warning on tv telling people they should not be out driving.  hope folks make it home from the game safely.  myself, i'm in the mood to be snowed in.
