had so much fun making the caramels last night that i made salted chocolate ones this afternoon and oh, mama, are they good. it's taking a lot of will power not to be eating one right now. i think i have had 5 or 6 in the past two hours.
cozy day at home with the hubs and the kid. so cold outside. so cold i can't even stand to go to the basement. early to bed again in an attempt to stave of this cold. dentist tomorrow. i HATE the dentist. i mean, i don't hate the dentist personally. she's a very nice, warm and funny woman. i just hate going there, hate the smells and the sounds and the tastes and the feeling of impending doom.

mmmm such good memories this brings of my grandfather making homemade caramels...something i have yet to be able to do...might need a lesson from the master :)
I'm kind of amused at the thought of you with caramel in your teeth in the dental chair.
