family fun

for the first time in i don't know how long one, two, three and four (me) were all in the same room.  had the family over for brunch.  so much fun!  made a turkey sausage and spinach torta with fontina cheese and french bread.  made a double batch and there's not a scrap left.

also made this cranberry vanilla coffee cake.  loved it.  the cranberries add a tart and refreshing bite to the whole thing so it's not too heavy or too sweet.

meant to take more pictures of us together and all of the kids but the chaos was too great.  we are a loud and active bunch.  there simply was no opportunity.

enjoyed being with the girls so much this weekend.  such sweet things- smart and bold and very well-mannered.  i also like that they keep b put so neatly in his place at the bottom of the grandkid food chain.
